Farewell, Spider-man (Viva la vida) - Tribute for the trilogy due Spiderman reboot

So long, Spidey...

Last week I found my old comic books, the ones I began to collect when I was 7 years old. I cant explain the feeling of nostalgia and happiness I felt when I opened them and entered to Spideys universe once again.

When thinking of Spider-man, Raimis epic trilogy came to my mind, and I felt upset about Sony rebooting the franchise. I mean, for me Tobey was an awesome Peter Parker, he faithfully portrayed the innocent, responsible, confused and dedicated Spiderman. And Kirsten Dunst played the perfect couple for Peter, her character had the sweetness from Gwen and joy from M.J. I think she was a good mix of both.

Sure, the reboot is a great opportunity for being more accurate to the comics and start again with Liz Allen, Flash Thompson, Betty Brant and Gwen Stacy (Though I know they are going to throw the original Spider-man storyline to the trash and start again with the story of Ultimate Spider-man). But still, I think Sony is being disrespectful with the fans and with all who have followed Spiderman for all these years. It seems to me the only thing they care about is money, and certainly that isnt all that matters. If anyone out there feels the same way that I feel, it would be great if you share what you think.

When making this video, great moments of my childhood and my teens came to my mind. I was 11 when the first movie hit the theaters, 13 the second, and finally 16 when I saw Spider-man 3.

Im turning 20 soon and that implies saying good-bye to some childhood habits and to some things I used to do. And its funny, because in some way Sony is pushing me to do that. I really wish I didnt have to say good-bye. I really wish Raimi would have had the opportunity to finish the story he began to tell almost ten years ago.

Maybe this is the end of the saga with which I grew up, but this great adventure is part of me now, and for that, thanks Sam, Tobey, Kirsten, James, and all the incredible cast and crew that supported this incredible experience. I thank you all.

@buddy6584 Sure! How can I help you? I used Pinnacle Studio 9 for the editing and I got some of the clips from Youtube. For me, it's all about choosing the right song that evokes the message you want to tell. Hear the song a few times and I try to figure out how the scenes fit together with the rhythm and the melody. When you have a clear idea in your mind then it’s time to use the video editing software and make your own video. Good luck with that! I’d like to see it when it’s finished!

though i do admit that i'm kinda glad they are changing the actor for Peter Parker. the reason is that he was so nerdy:(
