This innocent looking advertisement is a very dangerous because it is against all the psychological searches/Researches which declare that if a kid is not allowed to be in life what he wants to be, he will always be unhappy/dissatisfied.I fact,it is a matter of common sense only,no need of any psychological or logical searches/researches.
This advertisement entices parents to buy an insurance plan so that they could make their kids, what they could not become themselves.
Here is the danger.
The Aegon Religare life insurance company's advertisement should have made it clear that they are promoting a plan with the help of which parents can help their kids to fulfill their (kid's) dreams-not the dreams of their parents. In which ,they failed.Hence this advertisement can prove a very misleading one.Hence I denounce this advertisement.

  • dude,U r a fool of first water,AND this proved by Ur stupid comment.Having opinions on so many things proves that at least I THINK.

What is my opinion on this advt. is quite clear in this VDO.Open up the lid of Ur tiny brain so that some thing new may enter.

Have U seen "Taare Zamin Par" of Aamir Khan which shows that Parents and Teachers do not understand kids.

  • battleism,Have U seen "Taare Zamin Par" of Aamir Khan which shows that Parents and Teachers do not understand kids.

A few days back there was an article in NavBharat times "PAPA DO NOT PREACH" ,which supported my theory that parents should not expect their kids to fulfill their unfulfilled wishes, wishes of the kids should be always given priority. This advt. was against this well known finding of all the psychologists/Parenting Gurus of the world.

Hence I negate this advt. Got it ?

    U Fool.

  • These MNC's have done their research on India and know about our social structure. The concept of parents forcing their hopes to their kids is very common in our country. Its the way our society has evolved and therefore overseas companies tries to exploit it. In western countries the comsecpt is completely opposite and hence they don't have these kind of ad. there.

  • You don't have a job do you? Instead of talking about something no one cares about, find a job!! And learn to look on the bright side of things.

  • You know Tushar, people are in love with these foreign companies now be it McDonalds or KFC, or Apple or Google, or the biggest scamsters - the Hindustan Unilever, and the giants such as Elly Elly. Our mentality has also been ruined - Videshi maal accha hota hai (YES THEY'RE, but again, whose fault is it?). Government is the first culprit here - first allowing them such companies so much freedom, secondly nt supporting indigenous small scale industries nor setting up.

    Who's government - We ARE.

  • GOOD ONE!!

  • Page - 67 - SGGS.

The Siddhas wander around, deluded by Maya; they are not absorbed in the Samaadhi of the Lord's Sublime Love.

The three worlds are permeated by Maya; they are totally covered by it.

Without the Guru, liberation is not attained, and the double-mindedness of Maya does not go away. ||5||

  • @ZodiacSystem

    contd :

I have seen parents struggle with specially their girl kids trying to tell them that movie line is not a good line etc. etc. and I have seen the girls revolt with their parents. Many even run away from home and reach Mumbai to get into Bollywood ...

Well we all know the rest...

But apart from this if the child has a desire to do something genuinely worthwhile (even being Prime Minister of India) and has the ability to back up his desire, then I will say go for it

  • I know that this is serious topic for you but I will tell you my experience.

Bollywood an extremely effective media, gets to the youngsters very fast and the glamour attracts them immediately

Every young boy wants his hair cut and dress up like hero Hritik Roshan or Amir Khan or Shakurukh Khan and every girl wants to diet and have her hair styled like Aishwariya Rai or Madhuri Dixit. If you ask them what they want to be they grow up they will tell you "Main Madhuri Banana chahati hoon"

  • Interesting. Good point.
