I first heard her over 20 years ago with Jacki McClean and I said this is the hardest hitting woman I've ever heard! Her timing is on the money. Always remind me of Idris Muhammad. Her progressive/traditional Jazz is serious!!!

I bet Cindy doesn't feel that way. Very different. Sheila is one of the most impressive modern latin percussionists of the last 30 years. Which is not to know Ms Blackman. But to compare them is to disrespect them both.
