This documentary shows the rise of and the rivalry between Prince and Michael Jackson in the 1980s. It contains interviews with Prince´s former tour manager and Paisley Park vice-president Alan Leeds, with the former members of The Revolution and The Time, Wendy Melvoin (guitar), Lisa Coleman (keyboard) and Jellybean Johnson (Drums) as well as interviews with J. Randy Taraborelli, the biographer of Michael Jackson. Wendy & Lisa even confirm a meeting of Prince with Michael Jackson.

  • @mrfrogbutt1 It is the actual audio from that show.

  • @kalimaganeshshivan Yes, this is right! Allegedly, the booing sound from that show (with the Stones) can be heard on the 1985 track, Pop Life. I have read this however, I don't know if that's really true? Maybe Wendy and Lisa could actually answer that?

  • @kalimaganeshshivan I made a typo, "I do BELIEVE that Prince & Michael were born as polar opposites in the same year, two months apart." I hate making typos!

  • @Daprince823 You're absolutely right, Prince's father never had the opportunity to play "Joe Jackson" because he really wasn't that close to him, in fact, he didn't become involved with Prince's career until the "Purple Rain" era. Furthermore Prince was never the type to take orders from anyone, including his father & had his own identity. Michael actually became more like Prince but at an older age, breaking away from his family to create his own persona however he never had a childhood.

  • @kalimaganeshshivan Just too add on to what you're saying, or really clarify, they were never really that different. They were just raised differently, Prince had more freedom growing up to find out who he was and to be that. Michael arguably didn't and outside of music had no real identity. Even his stage persona wasn't real and I think the lack of authentic human connection too himself & others is what really did him in over time.

  • Apparently someone at the Rolling Stone concert threw a chicken leg at one of Prince's band members.

  • i dont like prince

  • @FantasiaL777 Weren't you listening? That booing and racist heckling happened to Prince and the Revolution, not Michael!
