@SR1000EFM mrc0x is right, CT made Les a replica of his walnut 4 string bass. He probably did it because the original bass is about 20 years old and too fragile to use live now.

Actually, Les allegedly had Carl make him a replica of his main Walnut 4-string, tho this seems to be the only "repeat" scenario I've ever heard of.

les claypools basses are actually made by a gentleman named carl thompson. but this is still an amazing one of a kind masterpiece of an instrument
