@MiloDC Sorry, Milo, but Nyman's piece is exquisitely-crafted, sophisticated, and contemporary, while your beloved 'Spartacus' theme is trite, dated, and schmaltzy to excess.

It's like liking that 2nd movement so much, that you don't want to let the chords go. Like savouring them for a little longer. Like saying: "Mozart! I love you, you are a total genius!"

this music no sounds like minimalism

I do hope to user commenting about the Spartacus Love Theme is joking. I just recently re-watched Spartacus with my family, and we joked the entire time about that piece of music to the point that we were singing it around the house all night.

@MiloDC Oh DO go away...
-
It's the background music of my insomnia last night...
-
Alex North's love theme from Spartacus is way better than this.

mon dieu......c'est sublime de douleur et de beauté.....de 0,40 secondes à 1,10....70 secondes bouleversantes...
-

By Christ, this is a superb piece of music. Gets me everytime. Reminds me of a previous love affair that, like all the best ones, ended in recrimination & sorrow. Outstanding, Mr Nyman...
