@exilekotor1 I recall reading the writers for the show have said they intended for Demona to eventually be reformed and reluctantly rejoin the clan due to her love for Angela. For a cartoon, she is a very deep character who is very rich with emotional conflict.
-
"I'll never get over you getting over me." I think underneath it all Goliath's rejection hurt Demona even more than the things she witnessed humanity do. She waited centuries for him, only to get rejected because she was no longer the same.

I think that underneath it all, Demona still holds some feelings for Goliath. Her hatred of the human race and of Elisa in particular are really just overcompensation.

Demona's been alone for a thousand years. The only thing that's kept her going is her hatred, and it's become so deeply engrained that she can't let go of it. How she feels toward Elisa just indicates that her love for Goliath is still there, but it's just so deeply buried that she can't use it to help her put the past behind her and start the healing process.
I know that I'm psychoanalyzing a cartoon character. But she's so well written that she could easily be a real person.

demona and goliath have always been meant 4 each other
Gargoyles was part made from Disney so thats why they could get away with her dressing as Belle for Halloween. If you still haven't seen Gargoyles, watch it, its still to this day one of the best cartoon series ever made. :D
