@joshuancts "Bush deserves no credit. None."
AGAIN, you have NO factual basis for saying this. Bush continued to pursue bin Laden and uncover intel later used by Obama to kill him. AGAIN, Obama flip-flopped and merely maintained and executed, in part, the Bush defined policies and mission against bin Laden and al Qaeda. The very things used in part to get bin Laden were opposed by Obama prior to him being elected. What he did do, after flip-flopping, were BUSH DEFINED POLICIES AND MISSION.

@joshuancts Striking video of McCain. Even more striking given Leon Panetta's own comments to Brian Williams a little over a week earlier where he repeatedly claims that enhanced interrogation techniques WERE used against detainees and that it was one of the "sources of information" used to get bin Laden.

Do pray tell though, which one was lying then? Panetta to McCain a week later, McCain on the floor of the Senate, or Panetta in repeat responses to Brian Williams?

@teenwolftoo SMH, from John McCain, pretty sure he's not in the tank with Obama /watch?v=JmQo917I6TQ

"You can't just talk the talk. The easiest thing in the world is to talk about change during election time. Everybody talks about change at election time. You've got to look at how do they act when it's not convenient, when it's harder."
So now we see how he acted when it wasn't convenient, when it was harder. He flip-flops and does what he once condemned. Obama = disingenuous hypocrite.

@joshuancts "My preference obviously would be to capture or kill him. But if we have so tightened the noose that he’s in a cave somewhere and can’t even communicate with his operatives then we will meet our goal of protecting America."
Talk about Obama lowering the bar from his 2008 position. But then again, what is new about Obama flip-flopping? The surge in Afghanistan, aggressive use of drone strikes, assassinating US citizens, the Patriot Act. Obama's national security policy mirroring Bush

Jan 14, 2009 CBS Interview:
COURIC: "How important do you think it is ... to apprehend Osama bin Laden?"
OBAMA: "I think that we have to so weaken his infrastructure that, whether he is technically alive or not, he is so pinned down that he cannot function. My preference obviously would be to capture or kill him. But if we have so tightened the noose that he’s in a cave somewhere and can’t even communicate with his operatives then we will meet our goal of protecting America."

Obama was against the Bush legal framework that led to Bin Laden being killed. Guantanamo prison, secret overseas prisons, warrantless wiretapping, indefinite detention, military tribunals, enhanced interrogation, targeted assassinations, all were Bush supported and Obama opposed. ALL have been continued by Obama minus interrogations.
So Obama flip-flops and merely maintains and executes, in part, the Bush defined policies and mission against bin Laden and al Qaeda.

BUSH: the idea of focusing on one person is really -- indicates to me people don't understand the scope of the mission. Terror's bigger than one person. And he's just -- he's a person who has now been marginalized. His network is -- his host government has been destroyed."
CIA got the courier nickname in 2002-2004 using INTERROGATIONS, then got the true name in 2007. The idea that Bush stopped focusing on him is a simple and obvious lie. One worthy of Ed Shultz though.

@joshuancts That video is disingenuous. So Bush quit focusing on him entirely from 2002 until 2008 based on a clip taken from the very beginning of the fight against Bin Laden on March 13, 2002 where he said he wasn't concerned or focused on him specifically after it was unknown if he was alive or dead?
Ed Shultz twisted the truth and excluded relevant comments from that press conference.
