@prunariu A common misconception is that the US backed the Taliban to fight the Soviets. But the Taliban didn't play a role in the Soviet occupation. The group the US was supporting was the Mujahideen. Now many members did join the Taliban later. The Taliban was a group in Pakistan that came to prominence and power in Afghanistan during the Civil war that followed the Soviet occupation. The main sponsor of the Taliban was Pakistan's ISI. It was Musharraf who helped put them in power.

@TremcladClock Well, the CIA actually was the main sponsor to the Taliban. I mean they trained them, armed them to the teeth and provided support of all kinds in the Soviet-Afghan War. The americans actually did this to themselves... And rather it's part of the show. An organization the US purposely turned it's back on and framed them. Think about it... War on Terror? 9/11? Mass manipulation for an entire nation, that's what I say. Then Afghanistan, Iraq, Lybia... It's all obvious.

@blackeagle988 that wasn't nice :(

An Afghanistan free from religious law. Curse the CIA for ruining such a great country.

@slimv29 A great communist Caliphate.
-
@MaestroFire Well that would be more feasible in the non-Arabic islamic countries, they adopt easier, the Arab states are better off under Pan-Arab Socialism since they still care a whole lot about religion.
-
FUCK ISLAMISTS !!!
FUCK USA !!!
FUCK NATO !!!
Long live Afghanistan !!!!!

All Islamic countries need about 40 years of communism I think. Because is would fasten the de-religiousation a lot.
Lasting Soviet rule in Afghanistan would have saved the world a lot of trouble; including the trouble of the Taliban's tyranny.
