  • um...MrRennie46...you seem to forget that Colm Wilkinson is THE ORIGINAL Jean Valjean. No one played this particular role before Colm. So saying Colm should listen to Alfie do it first is assinine. He might be good, but he will never beat Colm. He is the perfection embodied in this piece.

  • I cannot believe that anyone could dislike this video. This is one of the most sublimely beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. Anyone who does not appreciate this video has no heart, no soul and no feeling whatsoever. The beauty of this prayer and the selflessness it displays make these some of the most inspiring moments ever to grace the stage. I adore this show.

  • Timeless. Years and years later, Colm is the only person who did What Have I Done perfectly, Who Am I best, and can not be topped here. (Maybe John Owen Jones, but...)

  • He is the best. Brilliant all round

  • How exciting! He's going to be in the film version. Well, he's cast as the Bishop but still can't wait.

  • This song was specifically written for Colm Wilkinson and his voice. He owns it. No one can perform it like him.

  • he is the first and the best Valjean there will ever be <3

  • Emotionally amazing & simply stunning! MY day is complete now.

  • @ShieldMaidenBLS -- Thanks a lot, I'll look it up & let you know my thoughts after watching. Seems to be an interesting piece of footage. Great tip, ShieldMaiden. Have a good week, Blue

  • Colm Wilkinson...LEGEND...Fact!!!!!!

I am so grateful that I got to see him perform this twice....saw it in Dublin twice years ago when he was starring....then saw it in the West End a couple of years later with someone else starring...tough act to follow
