  • Thats a really interesting point, I think when something so inherent as sexual orientation comes into conflict with your life, it's hard for it not to come up. You know? Also, there are definitely groups out there that act as a support system for the many women in this situation. And new things are forming in terms of educating rabbis and the Orthodox community on this issue. I am not sure what your situation is, but feel free to email me for that information!

  • No problem! I am so happy you could see it!

  • I watched your whole documentary. As a Christian female, I find these woman articulate so eloquently their inner experience w/ great courage. Their desire for anonymity appears more for preservation of their families than their own safety. The struggle to reconcile religious doctrine w/ the intrinsic truth of one's homosexuality is universal to people of all religions. The tendency is always to want to take solace in tradition. Thank you much for this intelligent & provocative piece.

  • I'm really glad I was sent this video clip and that I watched it. it is painful to know that probably many many more women have chosen a "straight" life to have a "normal" life, and then end up with consequences as punishment for crimes they did not commit. Love and our innate choice of gender is just that: innate. I can't imagine anyone deliberately choosing to be tormented emotionally, socially or otherwise. I applaud the women who put this film together and their brave participants.

  • Now that I've seen it, I must say it makes me so sad. I wish somehow that there were some kind of consolation for this kind of issue, & many others. What gets me even more is that the first woman is a BT, I have never met any BT who has ever manifested an issue within the community, they always seem so content with their choice, never questioning anything. Glad to see that there are at least people who join and are not in some sense completely fanatical w/o reflection on their lives and feelings

  • thank you so much for posting! be dying to see this!!!
