Punisher War Zone Review

In which I review Punisher War Zone on opening day. It is very much liek the MAX series with a little of the Marvel Knights and War Zone stuff thrown in.

The one thing I forgot to mention in the vid is that Ray Stevenson does a great job. I was sceptical up until seeing the film of him based soley on looks. But there's scenes where it may as well been one of Bradstreets covers.

If anyone cares I'd like to see the next film as an adaptation combining the Barracuda and The Slavers story arcs.

Oh and I'm totally for Ray Stephenson as director for a second film. Since Lexi said she doesn't want to do the next one and she'd like to see Ray do it.

If you want a more realistic version of the punisher, see the 2004 version. If you want an over the top action film, see this one. And if you're not partial to either side, go see both.

i thought the punisher from 2004 was better but this felt more like a punisher comic.

I enjoyed it. The art direction was spot on, framing and lighting was superb, use of color was amazing. The opening scene where he lights up the flare was insane.

It stays fairly faithful to the Ennis material in terms of style and feel.

My only criticism was the occasional bit of weak writing and dialogue but action, look and overall style were great. Out of the 3 existing Punisher flicks, this is the best. A respectable decent effort.

I like comic book based movies that watch like a comic book. this movie delivered that. I loved Ray as the punisher.

I don't give 2 shits what anyone thinks of this film,it was off the chain!Ever since I've gotten it on blue ray I think I've seen like a 1000 times.People that are comparing this to the 2004 film don't know shit about the Punisher.Tomas "Lame" was about as threatning as a goldfish in that boring ass movie.Thank you Lionsgate for giving me a real Puinisher movie!!

To speak the truth I think the critics are just seeing it as a movie which War Zone isn't really a good one. The story was really weak just like the rest of the Marvel Studios projects so far besides Ironman
