V&A interpreted events with Communication ID (Apr - Jun 2010)

Welcome to Communication ID working in partnership with the Victoria and Albert, also known as the V&A museum this houses a collection of objects and artefacts linked to historical and art value.

Just to let you know we have 4 events coming up soon. The first of which is taking place on Friday 14th May and the time for this is 7 until 8 in the evening. Its a lecture and the meeting place is the Sackler Centre.

This lecture will be by a woman called Katie Grand; she will talk about the secrets of her career of how to become successful in the journalist, magazine publishing and also style industry.

The second event that we will be interpreting is called The Rock & The Glory, this will be taking place on Friday 21st May and the times of this are 6.30 until 7.30 in the evening. The meeting place for this is The Grand Entrance, if you meet there and you will be led by a curator to observe the photography exhibition. The photographer is a famous man called Harry Goodwin. He has taken lots of photos dating back from the 1970s onwards including programmes like Top Of The Pops, lots of celebrities and bands so you can observe all of the photographs there!

The third event that we will be interpreting is on Friday 11th June and the time is 7 8, this is an evening lecture and the meeting place is The Sackler Centre, so if you could meet there. This has an interesting theme, there is a man called Peter Blake who is a really well known and famous Pop Artist. He was involved in setting up the design for The Beatles album way back in the 1960s. He is specifically known for the art work on The Sergeant Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band album.

The last event will be taking place on Friday 18th June, this is from 6.30 until 7.30 in the evening and the theme is Designs of the Future. The meeting place for this is The Grand Entrance, if you meet there and there will be 2 Universities; theres the University of Brighton and the Doncaster College of Art whose own art students will be getting together and giving examples of their art and design work.
