http://mamanatural.com/ Teething... UGH! The lack of sleep, the crankiness, and the biting. Ouch! It can be painful for the baby... AND the entire family.
But, we don't have to be victims. Here are six natural remedies that will ease teething pain and restore sanity to your house.
1. Frozen things
You can freeze everything from teethers, to wet washcloths, to carrots and celery. All of them can numb aching gums.
2. Mesh teething feeder
This overachieving device not only introduces babies to new flavors but it serves as a great teether, particularly if left in the fridge or freezer. I like putting ice and breast milk cubes in this contraption.

3. Amber necklace
It seems like voodoo but many swear by these necklaces. As your baby wears the amber, her body heat releases the succinic acid which has anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties.

4. Homeopathic remedies
Rather than busting out the Orgel or baby Motron, why not first try homeopathic remedies? I like this homeopathic cocktail:

Natra-Bio Children's Teething http://amzn.to/ihwTW7

5. Facial massage
If you're baby is game, rub his face, jaw and gums in a circular motion. Sometimes they'll resist but other times it hits the spot. You might notice that your baby "self massages" by rubbing her jaw against her mattress or pulling her ears while nursing.
6. Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether
While not a favorite yet here in our household, I include Sophie because she has a 4 ½ star rating on Amazon by over 1,200 parents! Clearly, she's a working for many. I also love that she's made with 100% natural rubber and food paint.

So those are the remedies that I recommend. What's worked for you? Please share with a comment, and if I get enough tips, I'll make a follow up video about it. Thanks and... hope you're getting some sleep!
Wooden teething rings are also amazing! I love etsy for them. littlealouette is my favorite maker for them. Their little skull is simply adorable :)

My son loved Sophie for awhile...but then the teething got too much! He was miserable and in a lot of pain. I didn't want to give him medication and the natural stuff only seemed to work for a little while. I have an Amber Necklace for him now and it is AMAZING. Such a huge difference. I got mine from a local company called Butter-n-Honey

So far my babe (3 months) hasn't liked cold things - at all! And my big kids squeaked Sophie in her face too many times, so she's scared of that. But she has taken to the wooden teethers that we got from Little Sapling Toys on etsy. I'm not affiliated with them at all - just a very happy customer. I also have a wooden ring nursing/teething necklace from Stones Of Healing (also etsy) that she likes to gum on for relief. So wood seems to be her thing =)

@MamaOnABudget I hear you on the cold things. Sometimes Griffin doesn't like the frozen stuff too. LOL about Sophie... hope she gets over her giraffe trauma :). Wood seems like it would work great. Griff is always going for woodchips at the park and he loves to gnaw on a wooden malet from one of his toys. Thnx for sharing.
