  • Crucial M4 128GB with 0009 Firmware 830 Points in AS SSD Benchmark. Try to beat that for 170 Euros.

  • I got a RevoDrive X2 120GB as a christmas gift last year, but my motherboard only had one PCI-E slot that was 4x+ and that is used by my GPU :( I do want an SSD but as a student I'm short on money, so when I get a job I'll defenetly get one.

  • @chropose ASUS Z68 Mainboard but that isn't that important. Simply use one with a intel controller and use iaStor (Intel Rapid Storage Driver). Overclock your CPU a little bit (4.2 Ghz) install newest firmware on SSD. Put some load on the CPU during benchmark. Voila > 800 Points. Mainboard with AMD Sata Driver are a bit slower.

It's available for under 140 Euros now! Just bought a second Crucial M4 for my laptop, too.

  • Revodrive 3 x2 240gb, perfection.

  • @tjpld 830 Points? That' awesome. What motherboard did you used?

  • I used to purchase at tigerdirect but I bought all my upgrades at ncix and enjoyed the experience... Seems Ncix has a lot more in store choices than tigerdirect, which seems to have all the cool stuff to purchase online only. Hell for the same price I'd rather go to a store and not pay the shipping fees. Thanks to Linustechtips I found out about a really cool store that satisfies my pc shopping needs.

  • I want a SSD for my iMac. 120GB would be perfect

  • WHAT DOES SSD DO MAINLY?

  • 120 gb kingston hyperx 555 W 510 R amazing boot drive

  • my threshold is my dad so probably when I build my first computer.
