Turbo R6 first startup

Building up a 1999 yamaha R6 turbo. At the moment charge pipes are not connected. The inlet is restrictive at higher RPM without them limiting my rpms. mostly was a test for how well the turbo will spin at idle.

@cheeseywonder if you match the 'finger print' turbo map up with your engine and tune it good it wont surge- unless you want it to- its all in turbo choice and application.

@cheeseywonder A turbo works by exhaust gases driving the turbine wich draws in air and compresses it. wen the engine revs increase, more exaust gas flow more air pressure is made, more bang for your dollar in the combustion chamber, and thats more power. Its a little more complicated than that ive made it easy for you to underdtand how it works :). personaly i wouldn't put one on my bike, when a turbo boosts you get a surge of power, not a bright idea wen going round a bend.

Just wondering if anybody could explain to me how a turbo works? I have a vague idea, and know how a normal 4 stroke engine works, so dont be afraid to give a detailed explanation :) Just curious :D
