Actually YES- they DID make it popular. Post-hardcore came into the mainstream limelight circa 2002. Until then nobody really knew what the fuck it was. Just because it was around doesn't mean it was popular. Don't be stupid.

@delemeron no they weren't they were the bands that made the style popular, post-hardcore started about 10 years before finch thrice or thursday were even formed, some of the first post-hardcore bands are jawbox and big black, personally i don't like jawbox that much and i've never actually heard big black
