Prototype This: 6x6 All-Terrain Robot joystick control testing

Behind the scenes of Discovery Channel's Prototype This from the Six-Legged All-Terrain Vehicle episode. This was a test of our joystick control system that ultimately would be used to control the real vehicle. The arcade-style PC joystick uses two potentiometers (one for each axis) and had a number of buttons. The joystick was connected to a hacked Stelladaptor interface (Atari 2600-to-USB circuit) that connected to a PC laptop which controlled the Little RHex robot over a wireless interface.
