"Town with No Cheer" is a track from album "Anywhere I Lay My Head" by actress Scarlett Johansson, released through Atco/Rhino Records on May 20, 2008. Dave Sitek (of TV on the Radio) produced the album, and David Bowie contributed to two tracks, "Falling Down" and "Fannin Street." Anywhere I Lay My Head features four songs written by Tom Waits, six songs written by Waits and his wife Kathleen Brennan

I can say a lot about Scarlett. Like; she's a very good actress, she is really an eye candy, she seems to be a very sympathetic person as far as I know, and I give her credit for trying to be a singer as well. But dear Scarlett; don't do this again. With your talent, fame and popularity use it on something else; please. This only hurts!

Not as good as Tom's original, and background music too loud to hear her voice, have to give it a thumbs down. Does anyone realy know what the song is about. I have travelled on the train trip. Sydney to Perth and the only beer I could get was a Southwark, tasted like shit. Or what Paterson's curse is? Come and visit Australia and find out what life in Oz is all about.

is that really her voice? she looks and seem to be alot more delicate and subtle in the way she sounds.. thats where it clashes abit to me.. But overall, if l didnt know it was her, it's a nice track
