don't hate on Parkening for being a Christian. If you have ever met him in person you see his faith in his actions and patience. He is very kind to all students and signs every program or what ever else you would want signed. He is really great.

@MarkFromHawaii Do you know that Parkening was NOT a Christian at the time he built his great career? He built his technique and artistry without any awareness of the Lord's hand on him...and ultimately burned out and quit playing. It was after he came to the Lord that he changed his vision for his playing. His story is very interesting. You might be interested in learning more about him. And BTW, I'm glad that you're a brother in Christ. :-)

Christopher Parkening was one of the guitarists whom my guitar teacher back in college, Charles Brotman, thought highly of. Now that I'm a Christian it brings me joy to find that he is a brother in Christ Jesus. What a blessing. Praise Jesus!
