  • You gotta play that kind of piano differently. I have an east-European piano and an American piano and it took me many hours to figure out how they each have to be played. The reason you're pounding so hard on it is because you're trying to get a certain character that you're used to. If you played this piano for a year you would go back to other pianos and look for characteristics in them that this has, and you wouldn't find them. Apples/oranges.
