@goodie1shoes Yes that will definitely slow down your results of seeing longer hair. One of the main things that lead to breakage for us is the use of heat. Protective is styling is highly recomended to retain length.

I love your hair. Mine used to be really long but a perm broke it and now it's shoulder length. I'm trying to go natural now I don't use any flat irons but I do get my hair done in a dominican hair salon and they blow dry it out really well so it looks straight after doing that for awhile. I've been trying to regain my length since 6th grade and now I'm in the 10th. When I started I hoped that I'd have long hair again by prom. Do you have any advice besides the big chop?

Does natural hair grow faster if you use protective styles vs getting it pressed every 2 weeks? Im natural but like the straight hair look but don't want my hair growth to slow down. Advice?

in hs my hair was bra length. after hs my hair fell out. been tryin to grow it back. virgin hair NEVER got a perm. tried the Castro oil didn't do it ALL the time but between the last time i got a trim 6-8 weeks ago to this week when i did it didn't grow even with doing the castro oil. i only straighten it when i get my trims. i want my long hair back!! :-(

I absolutely love your hair, It is gorgeous :-). Watching this vid & a few others has re-inspired me to continue my natural hair journey with new vigor. I've been natural for five years but never had much success in attaining & maintaining length, although I've been good at maintaining my length this last year and a 1/2... Its refreshing to watch your videos & pick up tips especially because my hair texture looks exactly like yours lol. Thank you!
