Lackagh portnoo co. donegal planning by Fr. Philip Daly for house in a sensitive coastline area.
Land is Not his - Francis Joseph Boyle is land owner.......
Priest has house already in area......
NO other developemnt on this side of the road therefore this is a precedent for futher applications.
Road is substandard with aquaplaining of vehicles and flooding......If this is a private road then NO site notice was placed on public road(Invalid application).....Location is clearly in a High Scenic Amenity Area and visable from Narin Beach.Previous application was refused by An Bord Pleanala 0530096...What is this application really for? Or more importantly WHO IS THIS HOUSE REALLY FOR?

  • Why do normal farmers and landowners not get planning permission and devlopers and some people do get planning permission?

Discrimination in the Planning Process is the problem!

  • All the FACTS are from Donegal County Council. Read the files and check the maps.

WHO IS THIS HOUSE REALLY FOR?

  • Priest seeks planning permission for house on sea side of road as seen this would be a precedent for more applications. Why was it granted by Donegal County Council, it clearly will detract and destroy this high scenic Amenity area,Donegal Development Plan states BH5-"to seek to perserve the views and prospects of special amenity value and interest, in particular between public roads and the Sea". DCC are not adhering to their policies!...... Who is this house really for?????

  • Such hypocrisy! Is it not the locals that sold the land for holiday homes to be built on in the first place? You seem more than happy to take the money and then criticise! The local economy is dependent on the holiday makers for their support. The fact is, allowing this house to be built will set an unforgivable precedent which will open up the sea side of the road to development and turn Portnoo into another Bundoran! Eimear, please enlighten us as to the bullying...I'm all ears!

  • I wish to withdraw my question about the publicity being given because they are high court judges as it wasnt fair to say that. apologies!

  • . im sick of constantly hearing about people who have holiday homes here objecting to residents buildingas they seem to want the whole place to themselves. I don't know the priest very well but he seems to be a very nice and private man and its right that he should be allowed to build in the area after all that he has given to it, whereas the people objecting contribute nothing at all. are they getting so much publicity because they are high court judges?

  • I know that anyone who i have spoken to about it that live there are in full support of the priest

  • None of ye know the real story.I live in the area and the real bullying is done by the objectors. These people who are objecting have holiday homes there and are only there a couple of weeks a year, the site involved would not in any way disturb the scenic beauty of the area, if i thought it would i wouldn't be writing this as i love the area in which i live.

  • good man yourself for posting this! Can;t beleve your man has gotten planning permission-lets hoe he loses it on appeal!!

  • you should get your facts staight before posting a video like this.
