ETE Camp's Mission Statement

The purpose of ETE Camp is to empower Hinches neediest youth to become inspired, competent, and confident leaders by:

¨ (1) strengthening their academic skills through a carefully crafted curriculum that includes Math, Leadership Skills & Social Science, and 2 English courses
¨(2) increasing their self-confidence and self-empowerment through leadership development and recreational activities, and
¨(3) building community leaders and support networks through workshops and guest speakers on a wide range of topics, including youth health and well-being issues.


ETE Camp is committed to encouraging and empowering the rising generation of young Haitians to become future community leaders who will create the social change needed in Hinche and throughout Haiti. We provide English language education and appropriate academic-level science and math classes to strengthen their study skills and provide our campers with the basic education that they need. Through these educational and recreational components, we promote self-esteem and leadership skills so that ETE Camp graduates can become leaders in their communities
