@23parkour23 2/2...within them. And manifest it in the best possible way in their lives.
I'm not surprised that Jesus introduced a 3rd party person - the god - to his stories, because naturally for people it's easier to cling onto, give all their believes and hopes in hands of someone else. Someone seemingly stronger and more powerful than they are themselves. But those who realize that it's not someone else, but them who posses the power, will become strong and powerful. For they're the Gods.
@23parkour23 Right,...“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
And so you may understand that the God is within us and we have the power to manifest it through our lives. The god is not 3rd party person/thing/whatever. It's us and what we believe in. Ultimately, we become what we believe.
And that's the whole idea of bible. To make people live in the best way they can live, without doubts and fears, to find that light or God's kingdom...
@YumeNK You can believe in whatever you want. You can believe, say, do, and think anyway you wish; it's your choice, but don't claim your self-created beliefs are that of Jesus' teachings. If you believe that each and every one of us are Gods individually -- and that's fine -- then I suggest you leave the Bible alone and stop quoting Jesus. Go read another book or follow another teacher that "actually" states you are a God, so you won't have to twist anything to fit your own philosophy.
@YumeNK To my understanding, you never studied the Bible thoroughly. As I said before, the Bible neither states nor implies that we ourselves are Gods! Let me remind you how you came about to believing that we ourselves are Gods. You read the same scripture or hear the same things, but you choose to believe in things to the desire of your heart rather than what is actually written. In other words, "You hear what you want to hear and you see what you want to see."
@YumeNK If you still think you're not twisting Jesus' words then go find me the scripture in the Bible where Jesus says, "Each and every one of you are Gods." Go find it and then reply to me with your evidence!
@YumeNK I read the Bible, read Jesus' words, and heard way too much of preaching and I never heard anything in the Bible or Jesus mentioning that we are Gods ourselves -- never. You 'are' twisting words of others, but this is 'your' perception of reality. All I'm saying is each and every one of us has our own perception of reality, BUT don't falsely change Jesus' words to fit in with your own perception. Don't even mention Jesus' name if u haven't read the Bible cause obviously u don't know it.
@23parkour23 do you realize that perhaps you thinking that I'm twisting words of others just your perception of reality and by telling me to stop sharing my reality with others your forcing your own reality upon me. Heads-up, your reality is no more true and no less false than mine.
I absulately feel like going to my room and study.. God bless you

@ilililhy1 You just told everyone to read the version of the Bible written by King James. Who was King James to rewrite the Bible in the first place?

@23parkour23 it's not written in the words, it's implied in the meaning of the whole bible. =)
