We were whited out by clouds and had never been to this site. Hang gliders were launching anyway, but they knew where they were going. I waited until the next ridge cleared enough to safely launch and then went for it. A lack of a decent headwind is what made me nervous. The launch ramp actually got steeper the more I ran down it and that is part of what loaded the wing. It made for an exciting launch, for sure.
