"Do you regret the fact that you were born with this strange disorder that is called bipolar of manic-depression?' It's a very easy question, it's a very easy answer. No!. Not for a second, if you have walked with angels all the pain and suffering is worthwile."
I knew I was the second coming of Christ. Image what that is like. Schizoaffective Disorder Bipolar Subtype (between affective-psychotic spectrum) has many incomprehensibly incredible experiences, which is perhaps why its darkness is equally powerful (20-25% suicide rate for those who have been hospitalized). In Touched With Fire by Kay Redfield Jamison, she thoroughly explains the impact of bipolar disorder, its grand successes, and the infinite conclusion for many such as Hemingway and Woolf.

Watched this series - fascinating. My son had to write a Critique on it. I remember Stephen Fry saying on the program that he thought that it was in his darkest and bleakest hours that he was at his most creative, so he could not with all honesty say he wished his condition away. Wonderfully enlightening series.
