James Kalm documents excerpts from a panel discussion, "The Legacy of Abstract Painting, 1960s -- 1970s" with Stephan Westfall, Jed Pearl, Matthew Deleget, and Phong Bui. Wrapping up the historic exhibition "Ward Jackson: A Life in Painting" this panel of distinguished art critics, historians and artists debates the influence and developments of abstraction during the decades of the 1960s and 1970s and its relevance to current practices. These conversations were made with regards to the accomplishments of Ward Jackson. Because the event lasted over two hours, this a starkly abbreviated version, apologies to conferees.
I don't think. Was only watching.

All of these guys are pretty savvy but I don't think they really addressed anything we don't know. The artworld is stratified and preferential. We sell records, we get an Ace Award. I got it.

You're right, but what do think of the content?

A monopod might come in handy in a situation like this, reducing the shaking. Otherwise thanks for sharing!
