Found out it was fuel pressure loss that caused the long cranks after sitting and odd idling. Didnt cost anything to fix!

  • I have mazda 929 1994 i have the same problem

when the car is cold the engine starts roughly 1000rpm then increasing to 2000rpm

and still at 2000 for 15min then goes to 1500 and stop at 1500

if i stops the car and then start it after 10 min it starts normally (1000 rpm then goes around 800)

wht is the problem??? do you think?

  • have the car esp

  • @GreenV6Shogun I don't believe that for a second mate sorry. My family owned one with that motor and transmission. Was a piece of shit, gearbox failed, motor got smokey. One of my friends mum had 1 too. same things happened after like 160,00km. Both well maintained. They suck. And thats why where i live they discontinued them

  • @studogs80 In my experiece i have to disagree, yes this one had a few problems but it wasnt used for around 2 years. My dad has exactly the same car and engine with nearly 200,000 miles and has had no mechanical problems apart from wear and tear stuff

  • @Motorfordtoyota its a ticky, rattly old mistubishi which no doubt needs lots of work, uses oil has a rusty old fuel pump etc. These cars have crap autos that fail often and that awful V6 that has dodgy valve seals that warp and leak oil. Better to trash it then waste money

  • Hahaha, now that I think about it, looking at your enigne and an engine in a Dodge Grand Carvan 3.0 (Mitsubishi engine), I think that they are the same, apart from the intake manfold!!!

  • @studogs80 How? I have seen many cars and trucks (atleast in America, where I live) in much worse shape then this still on the road! This one still has some miles left in it.

  • no offence but thats cars ready for the wreckers, its had its day
