Actually there's more than just one reason they do it According to research, mothers will eat one or more of her babies due to a lack of protein for her and the other babies, due to perceiving the lack of available space or food for her and the babies, believing the babies are in extreme danger or either mistaking them as food or as enemies due to humans touching them (as Lee had decided to depict in the story, with the mother mistaking them as food).

@JuggernautMK02 I think many believed that in an attempt to show his dominance as being the alpha male (especially since Orange urinated on him and that lead to a fight between them) that he raped what could have been another male. And the later episode of "Disorder", he refers to Orange as "amigo" (the male equivalent of "friend" in spanish, instead of the female equivalent, which would have been "amiga."), which they would have taken as evidence for Orange being a male.
