@aigaki85 Both are great, and its a easier to get of hold of a hen pheasant then a mallard hen. Don't forget, you can use any feather that has the same shape.

hate to break it to u guys but that fly is called europe 12 and its not an imitation of a dead caddis. its famous all over europe and actually its the best fly ever. the trout, rainbow and the grayling they all love it:D

In the video he uses a mallard feather but at the end it recommends a blond hen pheasant flank tip. Which is better?
