@hershman1956 Actually, there is no historical evidence that Robin Hood was a nobleman and it is not certain that some of the characters from the show even existed in real life. However, I agree with you that the series is completely brilliant, and unlike the other (American) Robin Hoods, it is literary speaking an excellent piece of work.

The first word of Jonas alias Robin my heart says:
Ohhhhhhhhh

first 2 minutes and I'm laughing already...Merlin all over again!

2:03....Aragorn reminder?

Ahh I remember my Saturday nights with Doctor Who and Robin Hood :')

This series is in my opinion the best Robin Hood ever, and I have seen all of them I think, from Errol Flynn onward. It is at once realistic, innocent (at times), and idealistic. I suspect it is in fact most representative of what really happened given the centuries since. This one is truly great.

First Season was pretty good if not great. But after the first episodes it's totally unbelievable. I think they switched writers or something. The only thing that saves it is the acting from a great cast. Otherwise I've gone to better written shows!!!
I miss this show so much. Right at 0:18 when the music started getting intense my heart sunk a bit and I remembered how much this show meant to me. They used that music so much throughout the whole series... Whenever I needed to run somewhere quick, I would play it in my head and imagine that the Sheriff and Gisborne were after me, to make myself run faster. This show was such a joy, the first TV series I got obsessed with. R.I.P Robin Hood, one of my childhood heroes.
