The "UDon't Need It?" student move out project allows departing University of Delaware students the opportunity to donate their reusable household furnishings to others in the community who are in need. The project also helps divert tons of materials from landfills.

In its first three years, the "UDon't Need It?" program has diverted more than 350 tons of materials from local landfills and hundreds of families have been the beneficiaries of reusable furniture, rugs, household goods, clothing, and non-perishable foods.

Students who have reusable items they cannot take with them, who care about the environment and who want to help those less fortunate are encouraged to participate.

The program runs through Saturday, June 5, at the former Curtis Paper Mill site, 225 Paper Mill Road, in Newark. The site will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, except Memorial Day, when it will be closed. From May 26-29, hours will be extended to 6 p.m.
