Honestly I like toby's version a lot but i always had a few problems with it that really culminated in spider-man 3. This i like the feel of a lot more. He's just some kid that comes across these powers and he's got this overwhelming responsibility he doesn't really know how to handle. That, to me is spider-man and it makes him easier to relate to. Mcguire always felt too old and it felt like the responsibility thing was instilled from the beginning, it was like he was 30-something spider-man.

The first hour was about charatcer building and getting us use to the new Parkers, Stacys and Connors, not killing time you idiot and it was more in line with Batman Begins with its awesome cast, script and great first half but kind of a weak villian and rushed second half but this had way better action.

I don't get why the Raimi versions didn't align with the comics as much, but as films, those are better than this new one (1 & 2 at least). I still really liked this new one though.
