It was so great to hear an actual proper theme for a Marvel film. Captain America - of all of them - deserves it. I'm so glad to hear Silvestri will be scoring The Avengers as I hope he finds places to put Cap's theme in as it's so stirring and fitting of the character. As a huge Cap fan, this soundtrack was important to get right and Silvestri delivered! If you don't feel a slight tinge of patriotism/pride when you hear this, check your pulse!

At first I thought this movie wasn't going to be that good, but I was blown away. Iron Man is still the best Avenger but Captain America is easily 2nd best

@WMMRI I hear a little bit Between Superman and Indiana Jones

It's John Williams' style (Superman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones)

Most times Directors will ask ad give references to composers of what they expect the music to be like. Its clear that Silversti brought back the 80´s John Williams adventure style to this score. It has star war´s theme every where, but I would guess that Alan just delivered what he was asked for, and this is a great track. I carry in my car stereo Silvestri´s Predator ost, it has and its minimal and also Stravinsky style that i really like. It is however completely different from this one.

I play this every morning when I begin to work out and buff up

@JB0523 There's also the 5 note theme that is featured prominently at the beginning of tracks like Molossus and Introduce a Little Anarchy, as well as in tracks like Myotis and And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad. Even though it's not supposed to be Batman's theme, that's how I've always thought of it.

@Jormungandor @Jormungandor I dont think so. A very recognizeable music cue plays whenever batman is in action. The TWO NOTES and the additional music that follow it. Its not directly called "Batman's theme" but it's persistant throughout the movies with his character. Its not like themes from the 89 movie or TAS but it can easily be associated with batman in both movies. If you can associate the music with the character, its that character's theme. PERIOD
A superhero/action movie with an actual theme? What gives? I thought these went out of fashion with the new Batman movies.
