One of my favorite Irish songs ever.
One of my favorite anti-war songs ever.
One of my favorite vocalists ever.
This video has my heart.

I could never get enough Paul Brady! The man is one of the great artists working in the world today and I'm proud to have been able to say that to him personally on a few occasions.

The 1977 version is timeless.
The man is brilliant.

I think it's CGDGBD - if you look at his second finger, he's using it to make the base of a D major chord, for example.
-
God, I would love to see him live. Does he ever tour Canada? His music is sublime!
-
Just as brilliant as '77!

Great story, song and performance. First heard it sung by John Harrison from Hyde, England in the late 70's.
