@halac04 maybe cuz it goes in front of the camera?

pause at 0:08. . .why does the moon looks strange? Like the shape of an egg with a dark dot in the middle. I'm not a scientist or anything which is why I am asking 'cause I wonder if anyone could explain it. I've never seen the moon look like that before.
-
@fusioncid it is an illusion because the camera is pointed at the earth far away it looks like the moon is going much faster.
-
@crayjay3 Yep - you are right. The Earth is also rotating very fast in this video. Thats what confused me.
From our perspective - down here, it takes a long time for the moon to revolve around the Earth.
-
The moon is moving that fast. Referencing the time bar at the bottom, the moon enters the frame at about 6:05 and exits at 11:05. During those 5 hours it crosses a distance approximately equal to 6 of its diameters (I measured it with a ruler on my screen). The moon's diameter is about 3500 km. Thus, it traveled 21000 km in 5 hours which equates to 1.2km/s, which is close to its actual velocity of 1.0km/s considering I made very approximate measurements.

Why is the moon moving so fast relative to the rotation speed of the Earth around its own axis? The Moon should take 27 days to complete her trip around the Earth, from the images it seems WAY faster than that..

in our solar system there isn't and Neptune dosen't count because it dosen't have such diversity of colours and so on.

How so? If you look farther out there are similar blue planets.
@MonsteriuM
That's because if you were to see stars, the Earth would be overexposed. Just try to see stars in a photo or video of something which is illuminated, you won't be able to do so. It's one of the things Hollywood keeps getting wrong in the movies.

The camera will be of a low exposure. That is the reason why u cannot see any stars. Same as the moon landing :D
