And also throwing a 200X cam in it for a little extra power. Kinda messed up with putting the cam in, but at least i know for next time. haha Hoping to rebuild this engine this winter. Gonna throw a 200X piston in it as well. And maybe a 200X carb. Definitely going to put the new clutch plates in it..

  • good job man, my big red relly needs this done.

  • @deathkeeper5000

Thanks alot man. Yeah, its not too bad. I really should have done the tensioner too... It had a crack in it, and its still not putting the proper tension on the chain.

  • I put a new timing chain in my 185s at the start of the summer. I got the chain, tensioner, and guide and replace it all. Took head to machine shop, had valve seats recut, valve guides checked.....new OEM Honda valves and valve seals....runs great now.. It has a 200s cylinder with a 65.50mm 10:25:1 compression piston...and 200x carb.....she will run....lol

    haha, freaking nice man :)

I might take my head to a machine shop this summer too, and get the same work done. Probably go with the OEM honda parts too, just to be safe. Hope i can keep the bore stock, and i'm gonna go with a 9.5:1 stock 200x piston. that and throw my new clutch disks in. How well does your clutch handle all that power? They aren't as strong as the 200x clutches, and i'm a little worried for when i put more power to it.

  • Did you have to change your oil pretty fast because of the metal dust in there or no big deal?

  • @dorf68

Probably should have changed the oil, But didn't :) I don't think there was too much metal dust really. the timing chain rubbing on the case for about 2 years probably made alot more metal in the oil then that :)

  • I still have to do some carb work....a little lean on the top end...I forgot what jet i'm using right now...its over 100...I took off the air box and run a open element UNI filter....looking to get a bigger piston and custom cam later on...

  • @tommartyn, my centrifugal clutch shoes are brand new...along with a good used drum that didn't have grooves worn in it.......the manual clutch has all brand new plates and new extra stiff springs....handles the power no problem. The biggest problem is when people slow down alot in a high gear and then stab the throttle....I always down shift when I slow down a considerable amount. 55mph is no problem at all....I need to run it again on a smoother road so I can top out and see what it does.

  • @tommartyn It makes friggin good videos on your channel that´s "fer" sure.

    Cheers bro

  • @stevensj13

Yeah, the timing chain was really really loose. And i think i still need a new tensioner. There was a pretty decent crack in the rubber, and i think its making it not apply proper pressure.

hey man, i'd say any of the Big Red's should work pretty well for you. 200E, 200ES, 200m(good enough) 250es. Good utility style machines.

  • @specialformula14

    Thanks man!
