This is a softer version of the song. That is not a bad thing.Dean did the best version of this song IMO.Don't get me wrong I enjoy listening to both singers. They were greats of their time. This type of music from those eras still holds up well today if you are into this sort of thing. This music is very relaxing with or without alcohol.

Dean's got more spark? I can't say I agree with that. I like Dean but he often sang with little emotional investment... A softly sung rendition is not necessarily inferior just because it is softer.. Frank could belt like the best of them (certainly in 57, he could.) He just chose not to here.

According to a the linear notes in a Sinatra compilation I own from the the 1940's, Frank sang it first in 1947 (before anyone else) . It wasn't famous because he sang a billion songs like this...and LP's hadn't been invented yet and because Frank's career was starting to suffer a bit at the time. But the 1947 version is very pretty and intimate-sounding..similar to this 57 version (perhaps a bit better).

Dean Martin had sung the tune on Bob Hope's radio show in 1948. Sam Coslow wrote it in 1947. Dean martin just made it good. Not first.

( Frank the best of all) ...Frank o melhor de todos ...(portuguese)

They both have a great voice and were fantastic performers.
They sang together like old buddies, so enjoy and stop fighting about who's the best.
They're both sexy and charming, like crooners should

I don't care who sang it better. this guy is the best out of ANYBODY! <3

Dear God,
Take Justin Beiber, Ke$ha, and Britney back and please return Frank, Dean, And Bing

Sinatra recorded this in the late '50's. Dean didn't produce it until the mid-'60's. FACT!!!
This is beautiful <3
But in my opinion, this is Dean's song :-)
