Hello,

We are delighted to share with you the launch of our very own blog: You'd be much better here, and an animation to accompany it. The blog aims to keep you in the loop with hot off the press happenings in the cities we so love and also features personalities from both within the hotels and in the fields of art and design, travel, food and wine in Beijing, Hong Kong and Cheltenham. Oh, and we'll also be constantly trawling the web to share a plethora of spontaneous and fabulous nuggets from all over the world.

Wondering what the little object is? It's Mr Bellboy—a google map balloon meets bell, taking you lots of places and beyond, dishing out useful tips.

Tell us what you think. 'Like'? And, give us a tweet out @swirehotels, will you?

Love,

Us @ Swire Hotels

  • @schstudios I would be interested in a statistical review of the impact of this ad. Has it increased subscribers to your blog? By how much? What is the conversion rate.

I was made aware of this ad through facebook. The attached comment? "This is the worst Ad I have ever seen." That is one person's opinion. What do others think? Twitter responses?

Goal of the ad? To promote the hotel? To promote the blog? Promote tourist locations? Get people to book? Subscribe?

    Hope that's helpful. :)

  • The ad was very obviously a lot of work, and someone went to a great deal of effort to create it. Unfortunately, it is confusing. I was not sure that it was about. Far too much business.

I like the icon, but one should not have to read the description in order to figure out what it is. Its purpose should be self-evident. Mr. Bellboy is an ideal "meme" for your brand. It is perfect for brand association, as long as viewers know what it is about.

  • This truly differentiates Swire Hotels from the usual hotel format and portriat them as something different, unique and intriguing. By the way, LOVE the soundtrack and it is sticking in my head!! @swirehotels'

  • We just love @swirehotels' "You'd Be Much Better Here" blog and animation. Intelligent, inspiring and just effortlessly stylish!
