Half a million people attended Woodstock Festival in 1969, the significance of which goes beyond the music played and recorded there. The documentary made about the massive gathering (edited by a youngster named Martin Scorsese) is in the history book, because it not only captures the 60s zeitgeist beautifully but also preserves in perpetuity quite a few magnificent performances by rock legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

woodstock was the crown of the hippie era but it was certainly not the only festival. every park could and was turned into a festival. people brought guitars and bongos. many of these people are still alive, like me, but the parks are empty somehow the spirit died. why i don't understand. power has again won over passion. it really is an attitude thing and it can only happen on a grass root level.
shit ya.. i wish I would've been born in the 40's then I woulda been in my 20's during the 60's!!! the people had power!! and a voice and they used it!! we need to do that again!
yes that's the problem. if everyone would think like a hippie everyone in the world have enough to eat! but this generation drives big cars. they don't no what important is in the world
I Advice to every one to come to !"Orjiba"! Its a little town in Granada. Its a place in the Granadian country side in the mountains.
