I finally made a bit of time to video some of Coyote's cute tricks. He is such an enthusiastic and creative worker! Not sure why the lighting was so different for some of the clips. I tried to fix it, but might have made it worse.

  • i wonder if u can teach them to answer simpe, short questions which can be answered by "yes or no"

  • @siposgula Yes, you would want to teach them with different cues. For example, you could use "you" as the cue for yes and "that" as the cue for no. So any question you want the dog to answer with yes ends in "do YOU?" and any question you want the dog to answer no ends in "what do you think about THAT?"

  • LOL - I love the "who farted" thing; how do you teach that?

  • This was a move he did all on his own. He would do it when he was begging for a treat from someone. His leg would pop up into that position for some reason. But he wouldn't do it for me, only to other people. So a friend of mine put it on cue and then I could cue it.

I also have a photo of him "pointing" to a fake bomb titled "explosives detection dog" that I heard made it to the handlers of those working dogs in the middle east who thought it was hillarious!
