I was told recently that this Great Ghazal is written by Dr. Hassan Rizvi (Marhoom) who left us at a very young age. He tried to blend in the 'Ambala ki Boli' in it. I saw my parents elders, at times, communicating in this style. We used to laugh at this style when we were kids. Dr. Hassan Rizvi was also from our forefathers birth place, Mohalla Qazi Wara, Ambala, in undivided India.

I am short of words to praise this Ghazal by the great maestro, (Mir Hassan?) which is equally performed superbly by Madam on this out of the world composition.

Or maybe the lyric is "hum na khat hain na gul hain", where khat means letter? That is how the entry is listed on the original CD as sold in India.

This gazal has its typical style because it is been composed by a LIVING LEGEND USTAAD NAZAR HUSSAIN First it was composed for ABIDA PARVEEN in radio pakistan hyderabad where nazar saab was employed as a chief composer and later it was sung by JANATEE madam which become popular among the serios listenerz o3332604292

Tremendously superb. Excellent expression and great variation, only MT Noor Jehan could do it. No doubt she is the best singer of all times. I wish she had lived linger than her age and sang more and more new ghazals and songs for the people of world.
