  • @taay007 do you put your patients to sleep or are they watching you do it?  I would be terrified 

  • @MsJaydagreat

We just put freezing drops. Some patients would get oral sedative if needed. They don't see the details you see in the videos, the pupil is dilated and the light is very bright, you don't see any details.

  • Yes, the patient can see very well, Thank God for that.

  • Tarouka thanks for answering, still i have some few more Q.

1-What is the diff between Pannel and linear, I can imagine that linear depend on the foodpedal, so when do you use and why do you use linear Vs Pannel

2-What is the diff between Occluded and Unoccluded and when do you use either...

    3-What does this means..VWSS1 CL,CF,CD,DB P/S

Thanks ya tarouka and sorry to bother..

    Moatassem

  • A1-Linear is as you press the foot peddle the parameter increase to the preset max, gradually.

A2-To avoid surge, the Occluded parameters decreases, when the tip gets occluded.

A3-I have no idea, this is what was written in my program in the machine.

  • tarek some few questions for you in this case:

1- you use phaco-2, what parameters, you use, in such a case, vaccum, power...

2- what was the corneal outcome first day... in such a brunescent cataract form...

3-Do you use, infinity if yes, what was your duty cycle in such a case,

4-do you prefere hyperpulse or burst....

    thanks

    A. Moatassem

  • A1-I am actually using my usual parameters, In these cases, Whitstar ICE parameters;

    Unoccluded ASP 36/PANEL Vacuum 450/PANEL Power 30/LINEAR - VWSS1 CL,CF,CD,DB P/S: 0%-30%, 0-10

    Occluded Threshold 330/CASE Power 45 LINEAR - VWSS1, CL,CF,CD,DB, P/S: 0%-45%, 0-10

A2- Amazingly clear, as corneal protections is very important is such a case, refill the Vitrax during the surgery. Vision was 20/25 PH.

    A3- See A1

A4- Hyperpulse mode is more efficient.

  • Dear,

where you did this operation, please reply to oshanagorges@yahoo.com

  • @godlyvayne i think they just polish the lense. Not replace it.

  • 2:25 was weird....

  • what the heck do you tell your patients before these surgeries? "try not to blink"?

  • So a cataract is a foggy lens? And in surgery, it's removed and replaced with a new artificial lens?

  • that is cool as shit!

  • OMFG, this is.....Fucking...Im speechless, I can't even say anything . So shocked, disgusted, but amazed and in awe right now too :O
