Ray Mears - http://www.raymears.com/
Woodlore - BBC - RAY MEARS' EXTREME SURVIVAL - Jungle Survival.
Jungles can be daunting places for the uninitiated. Ray explains the fundamental skills of jungle survival and recounts the harrowing tale of 10 men who escaped a WWII prisoner of war camp, crossing dense jungle without the benefits of survival training.

  • There are many survivalists out there all around the world and they all have different style. Especially if it's about TV programme, they need to present it in an unique manner. If Mr. Bear mimicked Ray or vise-versa, producers wouldn't hire them for TV shows, don't you think? Most probably it's the TV producers and directors who are writing stories and how they should be presenting/acting. To me, Ray does it elegantly and Bear does it disgustingly. Viewers have different preferences too.

  • Who cares if whos is the best survivial expert. the most important thing is they give us knowledge how to survive in the fittest

  • @cOLnzkiE, I completely agree you! Best comment ever!!!

  • I love watching ray mears and i am a big fan, but 5:28 doesn't look right. "Lovely... Not ALL vines can be used like this". I'm so sorry I just have to say something! Love the show, thanks for uploading.

  • Can't believe people still try and compare bear to ray.I think they are both brilliant at what they do!read up on both of their back grounds they are amazing people and totally different in many many ways which is why it is best to watch both and not compare.21st dec....bring it on!!!

  • @RiseofBane have you seen anything from Bear Grylls...?

  • 'laws of jungle' that was worth youtubing.. the actual survival.

  • am I only one here to see the actual survival? I'm not to see the documentary and show off skills or craps like that.. I want to see this guy surviving for LIVE, without fukin foods, just basic tools.

  • @eddieboi14390 Yeah it's probably a bit of an over-estimate...Experts seem to estimate 30 million species being the extreme end of the currently living species anywhere in the world. Of course, only one million have been discovered. I also read recently that they think there may be around 200 million insects to every one human!

  • when he says there are over 30 million species of insects, surely that can't be right as I thought there are around 10 million species around the world. Maybe there could have been a different term that he could have used.. Anyone know more about this species business ?

  • i do like Ray Mears but i dont like all the history stuff he does. So for that reason alone i prefer Bear Grylls as his skips all the shit and just gets the point of survival

  • I think, No one can still replace Bear Grylls! he's the king of jungle survival.

  • Who's the real deal? Bear Grylls or Ray Mears? Why?
