it amazes me how ignorant some people are. this is the right way to bench for power or muscle mass in your chest. by creating a big arch you are putting the torso in a better position for the pecs to do their job; pull the humerus (upper arm) toward the stermum. also more concentric speed = more motor unit recruitment = more mass. before anyone says what does he know, i have a masters in applied physiology, division II strength coach and competive powerlifter with a 56" chest at 220lbs.
