This is THE mix. The guitar riff is awesome. I tracked down the vinyl on import in 1987. Still got it in mint condition. could never understand why this did not get a UK release. Thanks for posting.

there are elements in this remix which are similar to Phil Hardings remix of Always on my mind - chekc out "Always On My Mind (Remix 87 Maxi single vinyl)" on youtube if interested. It's one of my favourite Pet Shop Boys remixes, along with Domino Dancing 'alternative / soft mix'

the female voice is the vocalist of The Beat Club, Mireya Valls, watch Security by The Beat Club

@euesperides This was originally commissioned as a US only release mix after the UK version had left the charts - title 'Latin Vocal Mix'. Harding/Curnow didn't know it was US only. It reached the top 10 of the Billboard chart.
It was later included under titled 'Miami Mix' on limited edition CD (20 copies) as a prize for a BBC R1 comp held on 'Pet Shop Boys Day' in September 93.
Unusually, for PSB remix, Chris & Neil weren't present during the process, ordinarily they do prefer to be there.

Love PSB....Love the Miami influence.....great dance track!!

Phil Harding also did the best job on ABC When Smokey Sings (Miami Mix) , too

This mix was HUGE in the states especially here in Miami. It was very Expose/Company B-ish vibe.
The best mix I think. :)

You're welcome. I am uncertain as to which distribution this mix actually received. It is remixed by Phil Harding and PSB and included on an US 12" (V-19256) where it is titled "vocal mix". Funny thing though, on the cover only the standard 12" mix, "disco mix" is mentioned. There is also a quote claiming the single being "From the forthcoming album "Jealousy". Very exciting stuff. As we all know, the latter song was an early PSB composition but not released until 1991.
