@fingerz42 There is only one free man. As I explained to you before the backside DE is occupied by the bootleg. If you knew anything about football you would realize that the backside DE is rarely blocked in any running scheme. There are a thousand videos where you
Yes running in to a front where the free man has to come all the way across the formation is wise.
@tatertots00 That's what I'm asking you. What is so hard to understand? You are trying to convince me that it is wise to run into a front with TWO unblocked defenders. Enlighten yourself.
@tatertots00 Just because he is on youtube talking about it does not make him an expert. Obviously, it MUST be that hard to understand because you are completely wrong on this. There isn't a smart coach in the world that would willingly run IZ from 20 personnel set into an 8 man box. If you think that is a smart move you're sadly mistaken and you should delve into some IZ/OZ coaching material and enlighten yourself.
@fingerz42 Yeah that is the point the HB only has one man to beat and on this play its the Weakside Linebacker who has to come all the way across to make a play that is a good situation for the offense
@fingerz42 In that case, what would be your answer?
One would have to assume the OLB would take the slot (thus SB would likely stalk block).
Further the double slot formation (depending on the SB split & the motion) would be a 21 or 12 set for all practical purposes.
I'm having some problems understanding your frustration with this fairly basic vid.

@fingerz42 Yes it is and if it wasn't the coach wouldn't be talking about it on youtube. Its not a hard concept to understand.

@tatertots00 Sorry but it's not. Especially when IZ is a bang or bend type play.

@tatertots00 How is it a 7 v. 8? Because you dont count you HB as a blocker. He's the ball carrier.
