@CubbyNH I actually highly suspect in this instance a great deal of the balance issues are because of his over-darkened singing. While there is too much orchestra, overall, he could use a brighter, more squillo-charged sound to cut.

Yes, you're right! I find there is too much emphasis on the trumpet. They should have placed him AND the microphone on the other side to balance it out.

Oh he's great, I know that.. I've just heard him in other pieces/posts where I have enjoyed him more.. Here it anything about his singing.. The singing was excellent, it was more of a voice/orchestra balance issue.. Just wish I could hear him a little more and the orchestra a little less.
