Jews of Lebanon

Lebanon was once home to a thriving Jewish community, but its estimated that there are now fewer than a hundred Jews left in the country.

So it came as a surprise when the tiny Jewish community announced the rebuilding of one of Beirut's historic synagogues.

I think this building project is only to gain tourism revenue for Lebanon. However I can't see many Jews outside the country visiting the place, especially from a country that bans Anne Frank and Schindlers List. Also Lebanon refuses to recognise the state of Israel.

@theworldvideos1 yes it could be to attract tourism as you said ,but hey at least they're showing some respect and rebuilding it i suppose ,the recognition of the state of israel may not be possible yet for many political reasons but nothing is impossible with time ,the day i see lebanon frequented with jews thats the day i believe there's a stable peace in the region.
